Damage, deterioration, or malfunctio n resulting fro m:

Accident, misuse, ab use, neglect, fire, water,
lightning or o ther acts of nature, improper storage,
unauthorized Prod uct mo dificatio n, or failure to
follo w instructions supplied with the Prod uct.
♦
Alteration, repair or attempted repair b y anyo ne not
authorized b y NEC Corporatio n o f America.
♦
Any ship ment, reship men t or physical mo ve ment o f
the Product (claims must be presented to the
carrier).
♦
Relo catio n, remo val, installatio n or re-installatio n of
the Product not managed b y NECAM.
♦
Any o ther cause that does not relate to a Product
defect.
5.
Carto ns, carrying cases, external cabinets, magnetic or
digital tap es, or any accessories used in co nnectio n with
the Product.

This warranty co vers only NEC Corporatio n o f America -
supplied co mponents. Service req uired as a result o f third
party co mpo nents is not covered under this warranty,
including third -party so ftware even if it is distrib uted b y
NECAM.
What NEC Corporation of America Will Pay for and what NEC Corporation of
America Will Not Pay for
NEC Corporatio n o f America will pay labor and material
expenses for co vered items, b ut NEC Corporatio n of America
will not pay for the follo wing:
1.
Remo val or installatio n charges.
2.
Payment o f shipping and related charges incurred in
returning the Prod uct for warranty rep air.
3.
Costs o f initial technical adjustments (set-up), including
adjustment o f user co ntro ls.
