Several advanced features for making calls are available depending on how 
the deskset is programmed.  Refer to 

Section 6 Dedicated Feature 

Operations

.  This section describes normal call handling. 

1.

Remove the handset from the charging unit.  

2.

Press the TALK key. The talk icon appears after 
the handset and base unit are connected.   

-OR-

Press the designated function key (programmed
as a line key).  When dial tone is heard, enter the
number to be called.  The display shows the
dialed telephone number.      

3.

When the call is finished, place the handset back 
in the charging unit.  The AutoStandby 
automatically hangs up the telephone.

-OR-

If the handset is away from the charging unit, press TALK to hang up the
telephone.

Calls can be placed on hold, transferred to another extension, or two or more 
parties can be conferenced.  These operations depend upon how they are set 
up in the key system.
