To Hold
(1) With a call in progress:
The Line key that is used during a call lights
green.
The Line key on the other terminals lights red.
(2)
Press the
Hold
key.
The person on the other end hears the Music on
Hold.
The Line key that is placed on hold flashes green
The Line key on the other terminals flash red.
(3)
Replace the handset or make a new call.
To Retrieve the Held Call
The following explains how to retrieve the held call.
(1) While holding a call:
Line key that is placed on hold flashes green
(2)
Press Line key that is placed on hold.
The Line key lamp lights green.
(3)
Lift the handset and return to the held call.
(4)
A call on hold can be retrieved from another
terminal that has the same Line key flashing red.
If Unanswered
Holding a Call (Using Exclusive Call
Hold)
This feature allows a terminal user to place a call on
Hold and to exclude all other station users from
retrieving the held call.

The Line key on the other terminals lights red.

Press the

Press the
Hold
key.
The Line key that is placed on hold flashes green
The Line key on the other terminals lights red.
Feature key lamp goes off.
(4)
Replace the handset.
To Retrieve the Held Call
The following explains how to retrieve the held call.
(1) While holding a call:
Line key that is placed on hold flashes green.
(2)
Press Line key that is placed on hold.
The Line key lamp that was placed on hold lights
green.
The Line key on the other terminals lights red.
(3)
Lift the handset and return to the held call.
Only a terminal set for Exclusive Hold can retrieve
the held call.
After a predetermined time, Automatic Recall
is initiated and the user hears the Automatic
Recall ringer tone. Default time is one minute.
The starting time to ring the Automatic Recall is
set using system data during initial installation.
