Connecting AC Power
1. Connect the Power Supply cable to the DC Power connector on the terminal.
2. Connect the AC Power Cord to the Power Supply and to an AC outlet.
Power Supply Bracket
An optional power supply bracket is available to mount the power supply on a verticalsurface or
under a table top.

Disconnecting the Power Cable
The Power Cable connector locks into position when connected to the terminal and cannot be
removed by simply pulling on the cable. To remove it you must slide the outside housing out from
the terminal to unlock it and then pull it out of the terminal connector.

Connecting to a Network
Most business configurations requires you to connect your Columbus800 system to a
network.Connecting to a network enables you to communicate with other systems and devices also
on the network, and depending on your business' configuration, may allow you to connect to the
Internet.
To connect the NCR Orderman Columbus800 terminal to a network, plug the 10/100/1000 Ethernet
cable into the port labeled NETWORK on the bottom panel. The other end of the 10/100/1000
Ethernet cable should be connected into your network switch.
Note
: You may need to consult with your business' IT (information technology)
representative to determine whether you have a network connection available,
and to locate the network switch to connect to your Columbus800.
