10 Music
The
NAVIGON 83xx
can play back audio files which have been saved
on the memory card with the navigation application.
Note:
Listening to music too long and too loud can damage your
hearing. Do not hold the loudspeaker of the
NAVIGON 83xx
directly
against your ear!
10.1
Suitable files
The MP3 player can play back MP3 files and WMA files. Files which are
playback-protected in any way (DRM, Digital Rights Management)
cannot be played back.
10.2
Opening the MP3 player
When the
S
TART
window is open:

Tap on Music.
When the hands-free module or the navigation application is open:
►
Tap on the
(Music) button, which is located at the bottom
edge of many windows.
The MP3 player cannot be opened in the picture viewer or the FM
transmitter.
10.3
Selecting an audio file

In the
M
USIC
window, tap on Folder.
The
C
URRENT
F
OLDER
opens. The name of the current folder is
indicated at the top. Files and sub-folders are listed underneath. They
are identified as follows:
Audio File: Only those files are shown which can be played back by the
MP3 player. (Refer to "Suitable files" on page 73)
Folder: The sub-folders of the current folder are shown.

Tap on a sub-folder in order to open it.
Note:
If the sub-folder has no playable audio files or no sub-folders, it
cannot be opened.

Tap on
(Up one level) in order to open the next higher folder.
►
Tap on an audio file in order to play it back.
