NAVC-525-WIFI M anual Ver 2.3   06/ 2017 

Pow er On/ Off funct ion (Aut o On/ Off) 

To t urn ON/ OFF t he NAVC-525-WIFI, press and hold t he pow er but t on. W hen connect ed t o t he car 

charger (cigaret t e socket ) of your car, t he NAVC-525-WIFI w ill t urn ON and OFF aut omat ically w hen 

t he car’s ignit ion is t urned ON or OFF. If t he NAVC-525-WIFI does not  t urn off immediat ely it  means 

t he device is complet ing t he file save process before t urning off (usually only a few  seconds). 

Not e: If t he car charger car charger socket  is “ const ant  on”  (in some European vehicles), t hen t he NAVC-525-

WIFI w ill need t o be t urned ON/ OFF manually by t he pow er but t on or by removing t he car charger plug.   

Whilst  connect ed t o t he car charger DC socket  (or from a pow ered USB hub or PC USB port ) and t he 

camera is t urned OFF, t he LED indicat or w ill indicat e RED (bat t ery is charging) and w ill t urn OFF once 

t he bat t ery is fully charged. (Not e – t he device’s bat t ery w ill not  charge if connect ed t o a PC USB port ) 

Recording 

Turn on your NAVC-525-WIFI and press t he 

REC

 but t on (unless aut o REC on has been set  w it h ignit ion 

on). When recording commences, t he LED indicat or w ill flash BLUE. The recorded file is t hen saved 

ont o t he M icro SD Card. You can manually st op recording by pressing t he 

REC

 

button 

or t urning t he 

car ignit ion off (st opping pow er t o t he device). 

 

Not e: If G-Sensor is select ed, recording w ill st art  aut omat ically when t here is movement  det ect ed. This set t ing 

is ideal for w hen t he car is parked or unat t ended. Not e t hat  if left  on bat t ery pow er (car is t urned off), t he 

st andby t ime and record t ime w ill be dependent  on t he level of charge on t he bat t ery. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 In the event of an incident/ accident 

– Use Auto Bump File Save. 

- Due t o t he “ cycle recording”  nat ure of t his t echnology, older recorded files w ill be overwrit t en (depending 

on t he resolut ion set t ings and t he m em ory capacit y of t he M icro SD card).  

 

- The in-built G sensor will trigger an aut o-save lock if it  senses a bum p (sensitivit y is select able via t he 

M enu), so t hat t he file being recorded is not overw rit t en in the cycle record process.
