9- Clear the Data Transfer window and VERIFY the Programs were loaded correctly. “Click” on
FISP at the TOP off the window (not bottom) and select Verify FISP. The below screen should
be seen (NOTE the “OK” on the Verifying lines):
10- Clear the Data Transfer window and disconnect the FISP, from the USB cable. You have
successfully completed setting up the FISP.

Serial Port FISPs require external power to operate and have additional restrictions. The simplest
method of powering them is to connect to an operating Console or VSD. If this is done the operator
must be more careful since incorrect use could permanently destroy the processor on the device.
1- Always have the FISP application loaded on the PC and running PRIOR to powering up the
FISP.
2- Connect the FISP to the VSD or Console with the power OFF then apply power.
3- At this point the FISP PC application should begin the communication with the FISP
INSTEAD
OF THE FISP BEGINNING A PROGRAM LOAD
.
4- From this point on the programming should be the same as the USB device. Very early FISPs
will not work with this program, they should be returned and destroyed.
