2.4 Installing the Standby Exciter Monitor/Generator PWB (A10)
(a) Locate 25-pin D-sub connector P10, noting it is tyrapped to the cableform in the top right-
hand side of the transmitter (near A7). Carefully cut the tyrap(s) securing P10 to the
cableform. See Figure 6.
(b) Locate 20-pin ribbon connector W6P2, noting it is located near A7. Carefully cut the
tyrap(s) securing W6P2. See Figure 6.
(c) Obtain the exciter monitor/generator PWB (A10, Nautel Part # NAPE76*/**) from the
Vector-LP standby side kit.
(d) Verify that (or set) jumpers E1 through E3 are set to the same positions as the side A
exciter monitor/generator PWB (A7).
(e) Use four (4) M3 screws (Nautel Part # HMPSP09F) from the Vector-LP standby side kit,
secure the exciter monitor/generator PWB to the four M3 pillars located to the right of
side A exciter monitor/generator PWB. See Figure 6.
(f) Connect P10 to J1 of the exciter monitor/generator PWB.
(g) Connect W6P2 to J4 of the exciter monitor/generator PWB.
2.5 Installing the Standby RF Synthesizer PWB (A8) (NDB only)
(a) Obtain the RF synthesizer PWB (A8, Nautel Part # NAPE70*) from the Vector-LP
standby side kit.
(b) Connect the RF synthesizer PWB’s D-sub connector J1 to J6 of the exciter interface
PWB. See Figure 6.
(c) Secure the RF synthesizer PWB to the six (6) M3 pillars using six (6) M3 screws (Nautel
Part # HMPSP09F) from the Vector-LP standby side kit.
(d) Ensure that frequency select switches S1 through S5 are set to the desired carrier
frequency.
(e) Verify that (or set) jumpers E1 through E6 are set to the same positions as the side A RF
synthesizer PWB.
2.6 Installing the UA90 SATA Cable (DGPS only)
(a) Obtain the SATA cable (Nautel Part # UA90) from the Vector-LP standby side kit.
(b) Terminate one end of the SATA cable to J4 of the exciter interface (A2) and the other end
to J3 of the exciter monitor/generator PWB (A10) installed in paragraph 2.4.
