Chapter 3
System Installation
This chapter shows how to mount and cable the components on the Natus ErgoJust cart. Review
the contents of this chapter before starting any of the procedures.
IMPORTANT: All Natus ErgoJust cart systems must be installed or upgraded by a qualified
and trained Natus technician or representative.
The function or safety of the equipment could be impaired if it has been
subjected to unfavorable conditions in storage or in transit. If, at any time, function or safety
is thought to be impaired, the instrument should be taken out of operation and secured
against unintended use.
Advice to the installer
To enable the user to achieve optimal use, the installer should ensure:
•
All cables are routed neatly and secured using the cable management facilities provided.
•
The system is connected to a suitable wall socket outlet with a proven protective earth
connection.
•
The system is handed over to the user in such a condition that the user may simply switch it on
and then use it for its intended purpose.
Follow all safety guidelines set forth by your place of employment while
using/maintaining any of the system components.
Checks
Remove the equipment from the packing case(s) and check with the parts list that all ordered items
have been received.
Check for signs of damage due to unfavorable conditions during transit or storage. If any damage is
found, do not use the instrument; contact Natus Technical Support or your Natus distributor.
Assembly instructions for accessories may be found in their packing cases. It is suggested that
these instructions are filed with this guide.
