Operating Instructions
Be sure to read, understand, and follow all instructions in this guide.
Be sure to store this guide in a convenient place so that you can access
it easily if you have questions about operating this tool.
The high-performance heater in this tool contains an oil-based
protective coating that burns off with initial use. The smoke and/or
odor that this coating emits is completely normal.
As with all power tools and heating devices, safety precautions should
be followed.
1.
Plug the NatureZap cord into an outdoor-rated 3-pronged
extension cord. Plug the extension cord into an electrical outlet.
2.
Press the power switch to the “On” position.
3.
Wait 3 minutes for the tip to reach full temperature
(400°F/200°C).
4.
Position the heated tip over the weed.

Push down on the tool to drive the tip into the root. While pushing
down on the handle, gently rotate the tool back and forth so that
you grind up the root crown as the tip is heating it.
6.
Hold the tool in the root for the following recommended time:
Small weeds = 3 seconds
Medium weeds = 5 seconds
Large weeds = seconds
7.
Pull up on the tool and go to the next week. Repeat steps 4 and 5.

Press the power switch again to turn off the tool.

Most weeds are small to medium. If a weed continues to grow after the
first treatment, the treatment time wasn’t long enough or the root wasn’t
fully exposed to the heat. By treating the weed again, you will likely
get rid of it.

Limited Two-Year Warranty
NatureZap, the thermogenic weed-treatment tool, is warranted for two
(2) years against defects in materials or workmanship when used for
personal residential garden and lawn care.
For the purposes of this warranty, “personal residential garden and lawn
care” refers to non-commercial residential use and further excludes
misuse, accidents, or damages due to inadequate maintenance.
Global Neighbor, Inc. certifies that NatureZap is fit for ordinary
purposes for which a product of this type is used. Global Neighbor,
Inc., however, limits the implied warranties of merchantability and
fitness to two (2) years for personal residential garden and lawn care.
The Limited Two-Year Warranty on NatureZap starts on the day of
purchase. The Limited Two-Year Warranty is applicable only to the
original owner. The owner is responsible for performing all the
required maintenance as defined by the manufacturer’s user guide.
Attachments and accessories to the tool are not covered by this
warranty.
During the warranty period, the warranty holder is responsible for any
and all shipping charges if required. Some states do not allow
limitations on the length of implied warranties, so the above limitations
may not apply to you.
Global Neighbor, Inc. shall not be liable under any circumstances for
any incidental or consequential damages or expenses of any kind,
including but not limited to, cost of equipment rentals, or cost of hiring
services to perform tasks normally performed by this tool. Some states
do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

CAUTION: HAZARD OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK
To reduce the risk of injury or death by electrical shock:
DO NOT plug cord into an outlet that is not grounded.
DO NOT immerse cord, plugs, or tool in water or other liquid.
DO NOT use this tool in the rain or if rain and/or lightning are possible.
DO NOT reach for this tool if it has fallen into water. Unplug it immediately.
DO NOT disassemble this tool. No user-serviceable parts are inside.
DO NOT use this tool if the cord, plug, or tool is damaged or has malfunctioned.
DO NOT leave this tool plugged in if you are not using it.
Instructions:
1. Plug in the cord. Press the power switch.
2. Allow the tool to warm up for at least three minutes.
3. Position the heated tip over the weed. Push down on the tool to drive the tip into the root.
4. Hold the tool in the root for the recommended time (small = 3 sec; medium = 5 sec; large = 7 sec).
5. Pull up on the tool. Go to the next week, if necessary.
6. Press the power switch again to turn off the tool.
