SATA Connectors: SATA1–SATA4
The ICH7R south bridge supports four Serial ATA connectors
(SATA1–SATA4).
SATA connectors are high-speed Serial ATA interface ports. Each supports
Serial ATA data rates of 300 MB/s. All connectors are fully compliant with
Serial ATA 2.0 specifications. Each Serial ATA connector can connect to
one hard disk.
Figure B-22 shows the SATA1–SATA4 connector.

Hard Disk Removal
Caution
Before removing or installing a hard disk drive, be sure the NI 8351 is powered
off and not connected to AC power.
Follow these steps to install a hard disk drive:
1.
Press the cover release buttons on the top of the NI 8351.
2.
Push the cover backward to remove it.
