NI High-Speed Digitizers Getting Started Guide

Note

For SMC-based devices, spread-spectrum clocking varies the clock signal to spread the timing 

clock signal over a small frequency range. Disabling spread-spectrum clocking may affect the 
accuracy of device specifications.

USB Devices

To install a USB device, connect the USB cable to the PC and the digitizer, as shown in Figure 6.

USB Cable Strain Relief

The two strain relief options for your USB cable are as follows:

•

Groove Method

—Press the USB cable into one of the two grooves on the underside of the USB 

device. Choose the USB cable groove that matches your USB cable size, as shown in Figure 7.

•

Zip Tie Method

—Thread a zip tie through the zip tie bar on the underside of the USB device and 

tighten around the USB cable, as shown in Figure 7.
