Installing an NI PXI/PXIe Switch Module
Refer to Figure 4 and complete the following steps to install an NI PXI/PXIe switch module.

1.
Power off and unplug the NI PXI/PXIe chassis.
2.
If the NI PXI/PXIe chassis has multiple fan speed settings, ensure that the fans are set to high.
3.
Position the NI PXI/PXIe chassis so that inlet and outlet vents are not obstructed. Refer to the
chassis documentation for more information.
4.
Identify a supported slot in the NI PXI/PXIe chassis. Refer to Table 1 to determine what slots
support your switch module if you are using an NI PXIe chassis. Refer to the chassis
documentation for details.
