CUSTOM CRATE 

XIA provides a custom crate designed to house up to four STJ Analog modules (up to 128 STJ detector 
channels) and the STJ I/O module. 

INPUTS AND OUTPUTS

HDDSUB-78 (x4) 

4 rear-panel connectors each provide connections for to 
up to 32 STJ detectors (see pinout below). Each 
connector corresponds to one of the four STJ Analog 
slots, in the same order. Note that XIA does not provide 
HDDSUB-78 cables to connect the custom crate to the 
STJ detectors in the cryostat. The cable should be 
shielded and as short as possible. 

Custom Backplane 

Eurocard (x5) 

4 backplane connectors each carry the STJ input signals 
from one HDDSUB-78 connector, power supply 
connections and the pulser input to an STJ Analog 
module. A fifth slot (left-most) is reserved for the STJ 
I/O module. 

Power input 

Circular 

The circular connector on the bottom of the chassis 
connects power from the linear voltage supply module
