Problem

Unusual vibrations.
Uneven wear of the blast wheel.
Replace blast wheel.
Imbalance due to broken parts or blades.
Check separator and all other sections of
the machine. Replace any broken parts.
Unusual noise.
Low clearances or bad adjustments of rotat-
ing parts.
Check parts adjustments (blast wheel and
control cage).
Loose or missing screws.
Ensure screw are fitted correctly and
tightened.
Motor bearing is worn down.
Replace bearing.
Reduced or no performance.
Not enough abrasive in storage.
Fill abrasive.
Valve is not properly adjusted.
Adjust valve lever and valve disk.
There is too much dust and/or sand in the
circuit.
Ensure all seals and dust collector hoses
are sealed properly.
Blast wheel or control cage is worn out.
Replace worn items.
Too much abrasive admitted when turned on. Ensure motor reached max. speed prior to
opening the abrasive valve.
Wear in the wheel housing and rebound
chamber is too high.
Wrong position of the control cage; abrasive
is going to the wheel housing instead of the
surface.
Adjust the control cage.
Abrasive consumption is too high.
Too much air going through the system.
Reduce airflow by adjusting the air adjuster
on the dust collector.
Too much abrasive in the hopper.
Reduce the amount of abrasive in the
machine.
Motor does not start.
Not high enough voltage.
Check power supply.
Faulty switch or plug, or broken cable.
Electrician should diagnose and replace.
Motor stops during operation.
Current is too high, or cable defect present.
Electrician should diagnose and replace.
Carbon brushes are worn out.
Electrician should diagnose and replace.
