battery reaches the right temperature (within the standard range),

the fast charge process will begin automatically.

3.  If it is not possible to charge the batteries properly (the red indica-

tor is blinking):

•  Check that the battery contact surfaces are not dirty. Clean them

with a cotton wad and alcohol as needed.

•  If the battery is still not charging properly, send or bring the charger

(including the batteries) to your nearest authorised service centre.

4.  Under certain conditions and if the charger is connected to power,

foreign material may short circuit the charge contacts inside the

charger. Foreign conducting substances, such as steel fibres, alu-

minium foils or metal deposits must be removed from the charger

continuously. Always unplug the charger from power prior to clean-

ing.

5.  If you are carrying out several different charge operations one after

the other, the charger may become hot. This is normal and is not

a sign of a technical problem.

6.  Prevent liquid from getting inside the charger as it could cause an

electrical injury. Do not place the battery in a hot environment if

you wish to facilitate the battery cool down process.

7.  Accumulator batteries can remain plugged into the charger with-

out a  risk of damage to them or the charger itself. The batteries

will remain fully charged in the charger.

DO NOT LEAVE

 charged

batteries in the charger if the charger is not plugged into the power

outlet.

8.

DO NOT USE ACCUMULATOR BATTERIES

if they are damaged or if

liquid leaks out of the cells. If the battery liquid comes into contact

with your skin, immediately flush the area with water and monitor

the skin’s reaction. Seek medical attention if needed. If it comes into

contact with your eyes, flush them with lots of water and immedi-

ately seek medical attention.

9.  If you are charging a fully discharged battery or if you stop charging

the battery before it is fully charged, you must count each of these

cycles as an entire charging cycle.

Note on Lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries

•  These types of batteries do  not have a  memory effect, in other

words, the batteries can be charged at any state of discharge. If you

take the batteries out of the charger prior to fully charging them, it

will not damage them.

•  Each Li-Ion battery is equipped with deep discharge protection. If

the voltage falls (due to overloading or discharge) below the mon-

itored range, the electronic circuit will disconnect the cells. The

machine will then either work intermittently or not at all. You must

reduce machine load or recharge the battery.

Storing lithium-ion batteries

•  Store fully charge batteries in a dry and dust-free environment at an

ambient temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C. If you are not using

the batteries for a longer period of time, we recommend you charge

them fully once every three months.

•  Keep the battery contacts clean. Do not store the replacement bat-

tery together with metal items as it may cause a short circuit.

•  It is always necessary to charge batteries that were not used for

a long time prior to use.

Transporting lithium-ion batteries

As per legal regulation, lithium-ion batteries fall into the hazardous load

category. These batteries must be transported while complying with lo-

cal, national, as well as international guidelines and regulations.
•  Consumers may transport these batteries on public roads without

a problem.

•  Commercial transportation of lithium-ion batteries by transpor-

tation companies must comply with the regulation on hazardous

load transportation. Only trained personnel may carry out the

preparation and the actual transport. The entire process must have

expert supervision.

The following must be maintained during battery transportation:

•  Make sure that contacts are protected and isolated to prevent

a short circuit.

•  Be careful so that a large number of batteries do not move around

or fall and collapse during transport.

•  Damaged and leaking batteries cannot be transported.

Please contact your carrier for additional information.

Warning!!

It is not expected for the user to perform any service repairs on the

charger. There are no spare parts inside the charger, which users could

repair on their own. It is necessary to bring the charger to your nearest

authorised service centre to prevent damage to spare parts, which are

sensitive to static electricity, for example.
Always use the right set of batteries (the set delivered with the tools or

a replacement set recommended by Narex s.r.o.). Never use any other

sets of accumulator batteries because they could damage your tools and

cause a hazardous situation.

Safety Elements and Their Mounting

The grinder may only be used with the guard (10) and the detachable

handle (15) mounted!

Remove the accumulator before transport, storage or be-

fore doing any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,

change of tools). Risk of injury in the event of accidentally

pressing the switch.

Guard

Attention! Standard equipment of the angle grinder includes

a guard designed exclusively for work with grinding discs. If you

intend to use the angle grinder for cutting, it must be fitted with

a guard for work with cutting discs, which you can purchase under

ord. no. 65 405 748 for 230 mm disc diameter. If you use the ma-

chine for cutting without this specialised guard, you are increasing

the risk of injury and Narex is not liable for any injury to the user

or another person resulting from non-observance of this safety

instruction.

Mount the guard (10) so that the guiding protrusions (9b) overlap the

guiding grooves (9a) on the fastening neck (6). Hold the guard arresting

lever (8) pressed and push the guard (10) onto the fastening neck (6) so

that the adjusting rack of the guard (7a) fits onto the adjusting rack of

the fastening neck (7b) on the gearbox (5). Rotate the guard until it au-

dibly clicks into place. Adjust the position of the guard (10) as your work

requires. Push the guard arresting lever (8) up and rotate the guard (10)

into the position you need.

Detachable Handle

Screw on the detachable handle (15) on the right, the left or the centre

of the gearbox (5) depending on how you intend to hold the machine

during work.
To mount the handle onto the machine, use the M10/M8 conversion

adapter (15a).

Mounting a Grinding or Cutting Disc

Remove the accumulator before transport, storage or be-

fore doing any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance,

change of tools). Risk of injury in the event of accidentally

pressing the switch.

Clean the bottom flange (12) and quick-release nut (13), as well as the

clamping surfaces of the grinding or cutting disc. Mount the bottom

flange  (12) onto the mounting spindle  (11) with the fitting facing in

the direction of the gearbox  (5). Mount the grinding  (14a) or cutting

disc  (14b). The fitting of the bottom flange must fit exactly into the

opening on the grinding or cutting disc. Then fit the quick-release

nut (13) onto the mounting spindle (11) and manually tighten it all the

way to the disc. Push in the spindle locking pin (5a), rotate the grind-

ing spindle behind the fitted tool until the locking pin (5a) locks into it,

swing up the shackle of the quick-release nut (13a) and use it to manu-

ally tighten the nut by turning it clockwise. Then tilt the shackle of the

quick-release nut back down.

Attention! Do not under any circumstances use excessive force to

tighten the quick-release nut. You might damage the nut or the

thread of the mounting spindle.
Attention! Use the locking pin only when the spindle is not mov-

ing.
Attention! Before you turn on the machine, check that the disc can-

not move freely between the bottom flange and the quick-release

nut.

If the quick-release nut (13) is mounted properly and is undamaged, you

can loosen it by hand. To do so, swing the shackle (13a) of the quick-re-

lease nut up and turn the quick-release nut counter-clockwise by force.

If the quick-release nut is jammed, do not loosen it with any tools other

than the pin wrench (20) included with the machine.
