Procedure

Check your environment for sources of
electromagnetic radiation.

If required: Screw the extension rod on to
the absorber cap.
⇒
After the check, screw the ESM “RadMan”
to a non-metallic tripod so that you can
work in the area and still be warned of any
dangerous electromagnetic radiation
levels.
Tip:
The further the ESM “RadMan” is held
away from your body, the more
accurate the measurement as the
proximity effects of the body are
reduced.
Tip:
If the ESM-TS Interface Set is used,
the E-field and H-field strengths can be
shown separately as percentages of
the standard limit values (see page 34).
Note:
The rapid tester function of the
ESM “RadMan” is limited at frequencies
< 27 MHz, e.g. medium-wave transmitters.
