Equalization Charge
VRLA battery needs Equalization Charge regularly to ensure the battery
operating under 25º
C working condition. The equalization voltage of Narada AcmeG
series battery is 14.4V/block. The temperature compensation is at -30mV/º
C/block.
Equalization voltage under different temperature is calculated by the following
formula:

=14.4-(T-25)

Ambient Temperature and Life
High temperature is harmful to the battery and affects its service life. When the
ambient temperature exceeds 25º
C
,
the service life reduces by half for every 10º
C
increment in temperature. For example, the battery service life is 10 years under 25º
C
but if the operating temperature is 35º
C, the service life will become 5 years. The
formula to calculate the service life is as follows:
t
25
=
t
T
×

(
T

)
/10
whereby T : actual ambient temperature
t
T :

t
25:

As such the ambient temperature should always be controlled.
