• Unless otherwise indicated, have your power tool repaired and maintained at authorised service centers, using authentic spare parts.
• Do not modify the tool in any way.  Unauthorized alterations may result in serious damage or injury.
• Damaged or illegible safety warning labels should be replaced immediately.
• Store the tool in a dry safe place, out of the reach of children.

Electrical safety

• The plug from the power tool must be plugged into a properly grounded installed outlet. Never modify the plug in any way.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep power cords away from heat, water, oil, sharp edges and

moving parts.

• Avoid bodily contact with grounded surfaces like refrigerators, pipes and radiators when using electric powered tools.
• Extension cables may not exceed 25 metres in length. The cable cross-section should be 1,5 mm2 at 230 V to allow sufficient current flow to the tool. Only

use extension cables that follow the H07RN-F specifications.

• Thin and long extension cables lead to reduced tool performance, as the motor can no longer reach its maximum speed.
• The plugs and sockets of extension cords shall be made of or covered with rubber, non-rigid PVC or other thermoplastic material of equivalent mechanical

strength.

• Ensure that any extension cable connections are dry and secure. Avoid using loose or insufficiently insulated connections. Connections must be made with

suitable materials.

• Ensure that the extension cable is carefully positioned, avoiding wet spots, sharp edges and spots where vehicles may pass through.
• Be sure to completely unwind the extension cord to avoid overheating and the risk of fire.
• Regularly check extension cables and replace them if they are damaged.

Warning! Any repairs to the electrical parts of the tool must be carried out only by a certified electrician or at an authorised service center.

RESIDUAL RISKS

Even if you operate this power tool properly, residual risks may remain.
• Risk of injury to fingers and hands by coming in contact with the running grinding wheel.
• Risk of injury by flying sparks during grinding.
• Inhalation of grinding dust.
• Risk of electric shock, if improper extension cables are used.
• Impairment of hearing when working with the tool for long periods of time without appropriate hearing protection.
Residual risks can be minimised if all safety precautions and operating instructions are observed. Following all instructions will reduce the risk of personal injury
or damage to the equipment.
Despite all precautionary measures taken, there may still exist non-obvious residual risks.

PROPER USE

The chain saw sharpener is designed to sharpen most types of chainsaw chains used in amateur applications. Only chains that can be safely attached and guided
through the tool can be sharpened. Use only grinding wheels that are suitable for the tool.
The tool must not be used for sharpening other objects in order to avoid the risk of serious damage and/or injury. The tool may not be used in a potentially
explosive environment or be exposed to rain.

An element of the intended use is also the observance of the safety precautions, as well as all assembly instructions and operating information in this manual.
Persons who operate and maintain the tool must be familiar with the manual and must be informed about potential dangers. The power tool may only be used
by personnel who have been trained to use it and who have been instructed with respect to the associated hazards.
In addition, the applicable accident prevention regulations must be strictly observed.  All general rules relating to health and safety at the workplace must be
observed. The user must also comply with all national regulations concerning the operation of the power tool.

The equipment must be used only for its intended purpose. Any other use is considered a case of misuse. Τhe manufacturer of this device assumes no liability
for damages to the device or caused by the device arising from:
• Improper handling.
• Failure to comply with the operating instructions.
• Repairs carried out by third parties or unauthorised specialists.
• Installation of non-genuine spare parts.
• Any applications other than the ones specified.
