When using an electrical appliance, it is necessary to obey certain basic precautions
WARNING - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF FIRE, ELECTRIC SHOCK OR INJURY:
- Unplug the power cordfromelectrical outlet before making any power unit maintenance.
- Do not install outdoors, protect against weathering anddo not use on wetsurfaces.
- This appliance must not be usedas if it is a toy. It is therefore necessary to be very prudent when the systemis used
by children or when in use in the proximity of a childor infant.
- This systemmust be usedin conformity with the instructions providedin this manual. Only use the accessories
recommendedby the manufacturer.
- Do not use the systemif the power cordor if the electrical outlet are damaged, if the systemdoes not function
normally, if it was dropped, was leftoutdoors in bad weather for an extendedperiodof time or if it was
immersedin liquid, the power unit mustbe sent to an authorized service center.
- Do not use the power cordto pull or lift the power unit, nor use it like a handle. Be careful not to pinch it in a door, do
notlet it hang on a sharpcorner or edge.
- Examine the openings for foreign objects which may have remainedin the pipe. If any, remove the obstructing
objects to ensure maximumairflow.
- Keep the power cordfromany contact with any warmobjects or surfaces.
- Do not unplug the power cordby pulling on it, always remove directly at the electrical oulet.
- Do not use the systemor its accessories with wethands.
- Keep hair, clothing, fingers, any other body parts or other objects out of or away fromany openings or moving parts
of the system.
- All functions of the systemmust be deactivatedprior to removing the power cordfromthe electrical socket.
- Take the necessary precautions when using the systemin a stairs.
- Do not use the systemto pick up flamable liquids or fuels (i.e. gasoline), nor use the systemin areas where such
liquids may be present.
- Only plug in the power cordinto properly grounded electrical socket. For more information on this subject, please see
‘’Grounding specifications’’ in section 2.
- The exhaust of the power unitmust not give right againsta wall, a ceiling or be inside a closedspace inside a building
or structure. It is recommendedthat the exhaustbe ventedoutdoors.
- Do not pick uphotashes, redambers, smoking hot material, incandescent material, cigarette butts, matches etc...
- Do not put anything on topof the power unitor near it, this could cause the unit to overheat.
- DO NOT use the power unit if the pipe network is clogged, this will cause the unit to overheat.
