Maintenance Precautions
When performing daily maintenance, check the points below:
Do not touch the cleaning wiper and the capping unit with your hands.
If oil from your hands gets on those parts, this cleaning may not be performed properly.
Do not touch the print head surface with fingers or a cleaning stick.
It can cause damage to the print head.
Always use a cleaning stick dampened with the dedicated maintenance cleaner in the plastic cup.
DO NOT use non-dedicated maintenance cleaner. It may cause nozzle clogging.
DO NOT touch the tip of the cleaning sticks with your finger.
If finger oil gets on the stick, it will damage the print head.

Important!
Plastic cup for dropper
When you drop maintenance cleaner onto printer parts using the dropper, do NOT
use the maintenance cleaner in the plastic cup that the cleaning stick is submerged.
In this maintenance procedure, you will moisten some printer parts with mainte-
nance cleaner using the dropper. If you cannot suck up maintenance cleaner
directly from the maintenance cleaner bottle using the dropper, use one of the
plastic cup to pour the cleaner.
If the maintenance cleaner still remains in the plastic cup, put a plastic bag or wrap
over the cup to keep out dust.
