3.3 Removal the media sticking prevention screen
The media sticking prevention screen is attached in the product at the time of product shipment. When not
using papers that are easy to stick, such as a tarpaulin, a prevention network with paper tension is
removed. Remove a media sticking prevention screen according to the following procedures.
CAUTION
Be careful not to pinch your fingers when opening and closing the front cover.
1. Remove the eight springs from the plate of media
sticking prevention screen.
2. Remove the below springs from media sticking
prevention screen.

3. Open the front cover.
4. Using the screwdriver coming with the accessory
box, remove the sixteen screws for media sticking
prevention screen.
5. Remove media prevention screen from media
guide.

6. Close the front cover.

Reinstall parts in the opposite order of the removal procedure.
