If this problem arises…
When the product is not working properly, please check the following points first.
Do not use this product’ s power base with any other product.
Only use the power base design for this product.
Doing so may result fire or malfunction.
Do not boil water without the lid in place.
The power will not shut off when the water comes to a boil.
Do not touch the kettle as it will be hot during use and for a time after use.
Doing so may result in burns or other injury.
Do not open the lid or pour spout while boiling water. Do not pour out water (hot
or otherwise) while boiling water. Do not move the kettle while boiling water.
Doing so may result in hot water splashing, leading to burns or other injury.
Do not touch the power switch when boiling water.
Doing so may result in burns or other injury.
Do not place your hand in front of or touch the steam spout or pour spout.
Doing so may result in burns or other injury.
In particular, keep children away from the kettle.
Do not use the kettle on direct flame (gas range, etc), or in conjunction with electric
heaters, electromagnetic cookers (induction heat), microwave ovens, etc. Doing so
may result in fire.
Plug the power cord all the way in.
Improperly plugged in power cords may result in electrocution or excess heat,
resulting in a fire.
Do not use a plug/cord that is damaged; do not use a loose electrical outlet. If you
note an abnormality, turn off the kettle, and remove the plug from the outlet.
Doing so may result in electrocution or fire.
Do not drop or subject the kettle's power base to a shock.
Doing so may result in excessive heat, abnormal operation, or electric shock.
Do not cut, damage, modify, bend, pull, twist, or coil the power cord. Do not set
heavy items on the cord. Do not pinch or modify the cord. Doing so may damage the
power cord, leading to fire, electrocution, or a fire caused by short-circuit.
Do not insert or remove the power cord with wet hands.
Doing so may result in electrocution.
Do not insert a pin or other metal object in the center (metal) section of the power base.
Do not allow metal, dust, or other particulates to build up on the power plug.
Doing so may result in electrocution, a short circuit, or fire.
Do not allow water into the power base of the kettle.

sound when boiling water.
This is the sound of the kettle components
cooling. It is not a malfunction.

The kettle has a safety switch-off when it detects steam. Steam may collect
within the kettle and drip from the bottom. This is not a malfunction.
• Water droplets drip
from the bottom of
the kettle.
A chlorine odor may remain, depending on the amount of chlorine used to
purify your tap water.
When using for the first time (or when using the product after a long period of
non-use), you may notice a plastic odor. This smell will go away with use.

Heating water with high mineral content or alkaline ionized water results in the
crystallization of mineral components, which appear white. These crystals are
not poisonous.
