Operation 36. Clean engine fuel coarse
filter

Rinse the engine fuel coarse filter, per-
forming the following operations:

• Shut off the fuel tank valve.

•

Unscrew the screws (1) fastening the

carrier (3) and remove the bowl.

•

Unscrew the reflector with mesh (2)

and remove the diffuser.

•

Wash in diesel fuel the reflector with

mesh, diffuser and filter bowl.

•

Assemble the filter parts in the re-

verse order.

• Fill the system with fuel. Purge the sys-

tem and bleed air from the fuel system
as specified in the Operation 38.
