7.22.3 Engine – Shutdown
Preconditions
☑
Overall system of the power train is switched on.
☑
Local mode is switched on: The illuminated pushbutton LOCAL OPERATION lights up green.
☑
Engine is running at idling speed.
WARNING
Control stations (RCS Remote Control System) deactivated.
Maneuverability, major material damage!
• Inform authorized control station before switching to local operation.
Stopping engine at Local Operating Station LOS or Local Operating Panel LOP
with display
1.
Briefly press illuminated pushbutton STOP.
Result:
• The illuminated pushbutton STOP lights up white.
• The automatic stopping sequence is executed.
• The display indicates the changing operating data of the engine.
• The engine is at a standstill when the automatic stopping sequence has been completed.
• The illuminated pushbutton STOP goes out.
• The gearbox is disengaged.
2.
Repeat the procedure for other engines (if applicable).
Result:
• The stopping sequence is repeated in the same way as for the first engine.

Carry out engine-related tasks which are required after an engine stop (→ Engine Operating Instruc-
tions).
