7.22.6 Engine shutdown
Preconditions
☑
Local mode is activated: Illuminated pushbutton LOCAL CONTROL lights up green.
☑
Engine running at idling speed.
☑
Gearbox disengaged/in neutral.
Engine shutdown at Local Operating Panel LOP
1.
Press illuminated pushbutton STOP briefly.
Result:
• Illuminated pushbutton STOP lights up white.
• The automatic stopping sequence is executed.
• The display indicates current engine operating data as it changes.
• On completion of the automatic stopping sequence
– Illuminated pushbutton STOP goes out.
– The engine is shutdown.
– The gearbox is disengaged.
2.
Repeat procedure for other engines (if applicable).
Result:
• Analogous.
3.
Take appropriate measures on the engine following shutdown (→ Engine operating instructions).
