DANGER
Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in!
• Before barring the engine, make sure that there are no persons in the engine's danger zone.
• After finishing work on the engine, make sure that all safety devices are put back in place and all
tools are removed from the engine.
Barring engine manually
1.
Fit ratchet with barring device on barring device connection at the vibration damper on engine free end.
2.
Rotate crankshaft in engine direction of rotation. Apart from the normal compression resistance, there
should be no resistance.
Result:
If the resistance exceeds the normal compression resistance, contact Service.
