Skid Assembly
NOTE: The skid assembly comes in contact with
the ground during normal operation and will
require replacement as normal mainte-
nance. The skid assembly is available as
service part number: 982-0143.
See Figure 5.
To remove/replace the skid assembly:
1. Turn of the engine.
2. Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground it to the
engine block.
3. Remove and discard the three nuts and bolts that
secure the skid to the spindle assembly using a pair
of 7/16” wrenches.
4. Lower the skid off of the spindle.
5. Install the skid by following the previous steps in reverse order.
NOTE: Do not re-use the original hardware, new hardware will be included with the skid assembly.
