4.3.3. Cleaning, heavy Soiling
(1) Remove compressed air cylinder(s) (
Section 3.12).
(2) Disconnect lung governed demand valve from medium pressure line.
(3) Open line holder and unbutton shoulder pads.
The carrying and hip belts of the compressed air breathing apparatus
are fastened into the back plate with metal buckles. To remove the
belts, you must pull the buckles up slightly, tilt them and push them out
of the slots in the back plate.
(4) Slide shoulder pads to lowest position in the lateral guide slots of the slide
back plate, tilt the buttons outwards a little and take pads out of guide slots.
(5) Unbutton shoulder pads and hip belt from back plate.
(6) Press stop pin (
Fig 16) of the lines downwards at an angle and remove.
(7) Do the same on the other side of the back plate.
(8) Remove medium pressure line, signal line and pressure gauge line from the
guide on the back plate.
(9) Push out the spindle (1) in the pressure reducer holder (
Fig. 15).
(10) Remove pressure reducer from the back plate. Do not push up the catch
spring.

U-Clip and hoses are not to be removed after removing the pressure
reducer.
(11) Set slide carrying plate to smallest position, push lock and take out the slide
plate.
(12) Clean back plate with cylinder strap at max. 60°C.
