Cleaning
It is recommendable carefully to clean the apparatus after every use, at any rate so before a
long time of non-use, as the residue of powder can be the cause of misfire.
1. Screw off the lock (203).
2. Take out the bolt spring (215).
3. Make the bolt (205) fall forward and pull it out together with the rubber buffer (216). Clean
the inside of the gun barrel (204) and the cartridge-magazine (=intermediate piece 202) with
the enclosed brushes and, if necessary, with petroleum; then oil slightly. (Keep the rubber buffer
(216) free from oil.
4. Set in back the bolt (205) – rubber buffer (216) – bolt spring (215) in this succession, screw on
the lock (205).
5. It is recommendable to rinse the undismounted head-piece (201) in petroleum or in tractor
driving-material.
6. Make sure of the right functioning of the apparatus by putting the enclosed polishing-stick
(without the brush) instead of the cartridge into the cartridge-magazine and thrusting out the
bolt against the pressure of the spring. Then the shooting-bolt must jut out by about 75 mm
from the lower end (205) of the apparatus and completely spring back after the slackening of
the pressure.
