▪ The isolating device is to be rated such that the permissible disconnect

times for protection against electric shock are complied with in accor-
dance with the requirements of DIN VDE 0100-410, depending on the
type of ground connection.

▪ The function of the circuit breaker tripping circuit (supply line to the circuit

breaker coil) must remain guaranteed at all times, even in the event of the
isolating device tripping.

5.1.2 Checking function of protective relay

Check the function of the protective relay before installing it in piping be-
tween on-load tap-changer head and oil conservator. The associated contact
positions for checking electrical continuity are shown in the dimensional
drawing provided.

1. Loosen the three screws on the terminal box cover and lift off the terminal

box cover.
