Setting Up Your Coffeemaker

Thermal Carafe Coffeemaker purchase! Please

read these instructions carefully before using your new coffeemaker. Proper use, care
and maintenance will ensure trouble-free operation and the long life of this appliance.
Save these instructions for cleaning and, if necessary, replacement parts information.

Coffeemaker has the following features:

8-Cup Brewing Capacity

Thermal Carafe 

– Keeps your coffee hot and fresh up to 4 hours.

Pause ’n Serve

– Can’t wait for the coffee to finish brewing? The Pause ’n Serve feature

allows you up to 30 seconds to pour a cup of coffee while the coffee is still brewing.

Water Level Indicator 

– The water level indicator on the water reservoir allows you

to quickly and accurately see exactly how much water you have in the reservoir.

Removable Filter Basket 

– The removable filter basket allows you to easily lift out

the filter basket to add or remove a filter and ground coffee.

Comfort Fit Carafe Handle

– Provides comfort, control and confidence when pouring.

Drip-Free Thermal Carafe 

– Designed to eliminate drips during and after pouring.

Lighted ON/OFF Indicator 

– This safety feature reminds you that your coffeemaker is on.

Automatic Shut Off 

– The unit shuts off automatically after the brew cycle.

Models ECTX81, ECTX84 and ECTX85

Programmable Controls

– Clock: The LED clock serves as a handy kitchen clock, as well as allows you to set

the timer.

– Delay Brew: Would you like to wake up to a fresh pot of coffee? The Delay Brew

feature allows you to preset when you would like the coffeemaker to brew your
coffee automatically, up to 24 hours in advance.

– Clean Cycle: The indicator light will blink when your coffeemaker needs to be cleaned.

Audible Ready Signals

– Tell you when the brew cycle and the clean cycle

are complete.
