USING THE APPLIANCE
1.
Place the appliance on a hard, stable, dry, level and even surface. Ensure that there is enough
clearance around and above the appliance to allow unobstructed circulation of air.
2.
Connect the radiator to the mains network.
3.
Activate the heating process by using appropriate switches: (2a) and/or (2b). There are three
selectable heating power levels:
-
Low (I) – 800 W (1000 W for MUG-14) – switch (2a) ON
-
Medium (II) – 1200 W (1300 W for MUG-14) – switch (2b) ON
-
High (I + II) – 2000 W (2300 W for MUG-14) – switches (2a) and (2b) ON.
Turning the switch ON and thus setting the heating to the suitable power level is indicated
by illumination of the switch.
4.
Set the thermostat knob (1) in the appropriate position. Turning the knob clockwise increases
the temperature maintained in the room, and turning it anticlockwise decreases the temper-
ature. Once the set temperature has been reached, the radiator will automatically switch on
and off to maintain the temperature at the set level.
NOTE: WHEN TURNING ON THE APPLIANCE, THE THERMOSTAT KNOB MUST BE SET TO THE MAXIMUM LEVEL (MAX).
5.
The integrated fan heater may be used to heat the room quicker. Use switch (3) to turn on the
fan heater (400 W). When the fan heater is operating, the ON/OFF switch (3) illumination is on.
When the set temperature is reached, the fan heater will turn on and off, which indicates that
the fan heater is in operation.
6.
To turn off the radiator, use the individual switches to deactivate all active processes, set
the thermostat knob to the minimum position (MIN), then disconnect the radiator from the
mains and wait until it cools down.
NOTE: THE OIL INSIDE THE RADIATOR IS A THERMAL ENERGY ACCUMULATOR, SO THE RADIATOR REMAINS HOT
FOR A LONG TIME AFTER IT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF. PROCEED WITH CARE TO AVOID GETTING BURNT.
NOTE: YOUR OIL-FILLED HEATER HAS A TIP-OVER SAFETY SWITCH. THIS SWITCHES THE DEVICE OFF AS SOON AS IT
IS NO LONGER STABLE AND COULD FALL OVER.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1.
The oil-filled radiator does not require any specific maintenance.
2.
Before cleaning, always disconnect the radiator from the power source and wait until it cools
down.
3.
Use a damp soft cloth to clean the ribs and the fan heater housing.
4.
Do not use solvents or other aggressive liquids to clean the appliance.
5.
Any dust accumulated on the ribs can be removed using a vacuum cleaner with a soft at-
tachment.
NOTE: DO NOT IMMERSE THE RADIATOR IN WATER.
