Tyre pressure
Tread depth
Change of size of wheels
and tyres
Check the tyre pressure (when cold) at
least once a fortnight and before each
long journey. Do not forget the spare tyre.
Unscrew the valve cap.
Check the tread depth regularly.
For safety reasons, tyres must be replaced
once the tread is down to a depth of 2-3
mm (4 mm for winter tyres).
For safety reasons it is recommended
that the tread depth on a same axle do not
vary by more than 2 mm.
The position of the wear indicators is
indicated by markings on the sides of the
tyre.
If the wear is more significant at the front
than at the rear, swap the front and
rear wheels.
Ensure that the direction of rotation
of the tyres is the same.
Tyres get old even if they are not driven.
We recommend that you replace the
tyres every 6 years.
The minimum tread depth leagally
authorised (1,6 mm) has been reached
when the profile is worn down to the wear
mark (TWI = Tread Wear Indicator).
The directions on the inflation pressure of
the tyres are in the door frame of the Front
right door.
Insufficient inflation can cause
considerable heating up of the tyre
as well as internal damage causing the
surface to peel off and even potentially a
tyre to blow out at high speed.
The used of tyres or wheels which
Are not suitable may cause
accidents and bring about the loss of
homologation of the vehicle. This
vehicle was designed for a single type
of tyre.
Unsuitable tyres may cause a sudden
deflation and therefore an
accident.
