7.4 Basic Inspection
• Perform the following inspections before disassembly.
(1) Inspection of plate fins
• To inspect the plate fins of the condenser, the
air filter must be removed. After removal of the
air filters, inspect the plate fins for any dirt,
dust, lint, or debris that may have caused
insufficient cooling performance of the unit. If
cleaning of the fins is necessary, it is
recommended that this service be performed
by a qualified service technician.
(2) Inspection of spine fins
• Remove the air filters and inspect the spine fins
of the evaporator for any dirt, dust, lint, or
debris that may cause poor cooling
performance. If spine fin cleaning is necessary,
it is recommended that this service be
performed by a qualified service technician.
(3) Examination of operating environment
• Operating environments can vary depending on location, climate and surrounding conditions.
Installation location can also cause operational problems. Consult with your reseller concerning
operational environment requirements.
(4) Cooling capacity inspection
• Measure the temperature difference between
the evaporator inlet and the cooling air duct
outlet. If the difference is out of the range
shown in the graphs on page 10 and 11,
proceed with the remedy suggested in the
troubleshooting chart on page 34 to 37.
