TRACEABILITY AND AUTHENTICITY
In order to authenticate each MOUAWAD Genève watch and protect
the owners, each watch comes with a card bearing a Bubble Tag™.
The non-reproducible bubbles are randomly self-generated inside
a transparent material, via a secret process. They adopt a fixed layout,
different every time, to form a unique and non-reproducible *3D
image: no technology is able to reproduce this three-dimensional
code.
The Bubble Tag™ is allocated to each watch on a unique basis, to
enable the verification of its origin. Verification is a simple, entirely
visual process which can be carried out via a computer or a
mobile phone connected to the Internet. No technical device is
required to validate the code.
To verify the origin of the watch, a MOUAWAD Genève watch
owner needs to perform the following two-step process:
- Find the Customer Registration tab at www.mouawad.com
and enter the reference number printed on the guarantee card.
A personalised webpage displaying the specified timepiece will
open instantly.
- Visually compare the Bubble Tag™ found on the card with its
recorded image on the website.
This comparison is simple, immediate and intuitive. The eye can
detect empty areas, isolated bubbles or distinctive bubble
alignments in the Bubble Tag™. If these features are present in
the image, the eye identifies them immediately and recognition
is validated.
