Whenever possible:

Place your calls in areas of optimum
system coverage (full quieting). Calls
made in noisy (fringe) areas may not
connect.

Make your calls when the vehicle is not
moving – parked, at a stop sign, or at a
traffic light. Dialling (pressing keypad
keys) while driving can distract the driver
(a safety hazard). Dialling while driving
also reduces call reliability by promoting
the chance of a weak signal due to
“dead spots” or automobile/traffic noise
interference.
