Using Your Smartphone as a
Modem
You can use your Smartphone as an external modem for data transfer to and from your
computer or other device by using the i930 Sync Cradle or an RS232 data cable.
Note: To use your Smartphone as a GPRS modem, see “Setting Up Your
Smartphone for Wireless Data Service Access” on page 117.
You can use your Smartphone to transfer data only when it is not in a call. If your
Smartphone is in a Walkie-Talkie call when you set up a data transfer, the Walkie-Talkie
call is ended. You will not receive any type of call or message notifications while
transferring data.
