Check COM port settings

Make sure no other application is using the COM port selected of your laptop or other 
device.

Make sure the COM port settings of your laptop or other device are set to the 
following:

• Bits per second: 4800
• Data bits: 8
• Parity: None
• Stop bits: 1
• Flow control: Hardware

Set your Smartphone to send location information to your laptop or 
other device

From the Home screen, select Start.

Select Accessories and then GPS Location.

3

Select Menu and then Setup.

4

In Device Connection, select NMEA out.

5

Select Done.

Your Smartphone is now sending location data to your laptop or other device.

Stop your Smartphone from sending location data to your laptop or 
other device

• Select No Connection as Device Connection option.

Each time you power your Smartphone on, the Device Connection option is 
automatically set to No Connection.
