Press a directional (

) button to back out of the field and leave it unchanged.
Otherwise, press the Enter button to proceed.
Test signals override any active service component, and the unit displays diagnostics over
the video test patterns if diagnostics are enabled. Disable the selected signals by displaying
Off in the Pattern field and then exiting the menu. Press the Enter button to exit from the
field.
Vertical Interval Test Signal (VITS) Menu
Press the

buttons until the Vertical Interval Test Signal (VITS) menu appears. This
menu allows the user to insert VITS on lines 17 or 18.
Waveform Field.
The Waveform field allows the user to insert a VITS from several internally stored
patterns, from a pattern transmitted over the satellite link, or to turn off VITS insertion.
Press the

button until the cursor is at the Waveform label, and press the Enter button to
move into the field. Press the

buttons to display the options. Choose from the
following options in the Waveform field:
