RADIUS Server
- If the WLAN type requires a RADIUS server to validate user credentials, designate
whether the access point is using an
External RADIUS Server
resource or the access point's own
Onboard RADIUS Server
. If using an external RADIUS server resource, provide the IP address of the
external server and the shared secret used to authenticate the request.

. The Initial AP Setup Wizard displays the
RADIUS Server Configuratio
n screen if the
access point’s onboard RADIUS server is required to validate user requests. If an onboard RADIUS server
is not required, the Initial AP Setup Wizard displays the
Country/Date/Time
screen to set device
deployment, administrative contact and system time information.
NOTE
If using the access point’s onboard RADIUS server, an additional
RADIUS
Server Configuration
screen displays within the Navigation Panel on
the left-hand side of the screen. Use this screen to create user accounts
validated when the access point authenticates client connection requests
to the onboard RADIUS server.
