Your phone will try to register with the selected network. If this is successful,
the phone will display the network name and will return to the main menu.
The entire process of turning on the phone is now complete.

Depending on the different settings, you may not need to go through
the entire process to turn on the phone.

If the phone is turned on for the first time, it is recommended that you
calibrate the screen.
For details, please see Calibrate Screen under Display Setup of Phone
Setup.
Selecting the Handset Operation Mode
After turning on the phone, the top left hand corner of the screen will show
the
icon (Phone mode) or
icon (PDA mode), prompting you to
select the operation mode.

Phone Mode.

GPRS: Enable
and Press OK to confirm your selection to go into
GPRS mode.
Select
Cancel
to dismiss the dialogue box and the current phone operation
mode remains unchanged.
