OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The Tri-Unit Charger PMLN6242 will charge only the Motorola
Solutions authorized batteries listed in Table 5. Other batteries
may not charge.
Prior to charging a battery with radio, turn the radio off.
Batteries charge best at room temperature.
Charging Procedure
1. Plug the charger end of the power supply cord into the power
receptacle located at the back of the charger.
2. Plug the wall receptacle end of the power supply cord into the
appropriate AC outlet. A successful power-up sequence is
indicated by a SINGLE GREEN BLINK on the charger
indicator.
3. To charge a radio with battery (with the radio turned off) :
a. Detach the earpiece/audio accessory from the audio jack.
b. Insert the radio into the radio pocket and aligning to the
groove on each side of the radio with the corresponding
raised rail on each side of the radio pocket.
c. Ensure correct contact between the charger and the radio.
d. See radio display for charging status.
e. To remove a radio from the charger, use both hands to
remove a radio from the radio pocket; hold and support the
charger with one hand and remove the radio with the other
hand.
4. To charge a battery:
a. Pull out and turn the battery divider according to type of
battery to charge, slide it back into the slot. (See Figure 1).
b. Insert the battery into the battery pocket, ensuring correct
contact between the charger and the battery.
