Swapping fluid bases/contaminated fluid flush information
Direction for flushing fluid.
1.
While the fluid is at operating temperature, completely drain the reservoir, remove all return
lines and slightly crack supply lines to allow as much fluid to gravity feed out as possible. Drain
reservoir and filter allow all fluid to gravity drain.
2.
Open clean out cover and with using a lint-free rag, clean the reservoir of all sludge and
deposits. Make sure the entire reservoir is clean as possible.
3.
Install new filter. Secure supply lines and fill reservoir.
4.
Operate each set of equipment until new fluid is flowing clearly out of return line. Refilling
reservoir as necessary. If unit has a bleed valve open bleed valve to allow purging of any old
fluid.
5.
After new fluid is confirmed flowing out of all return lines reinstall all return lines. Paying close
attention to the system sounds to determine if the pump is cavitating. Run all systems and filling
reservoir as required.
6.
Run the system for 30 minutes to bring it to normal operating temperature inspect the reservoir
for obvious signs of cross-contamination. If any indication of cross-contamination is present,
drain and flush the system again.
7.
After one day of operation, shut down the system, replace the filters sample and test the fluid.
