User Role:
An icon indicating the role of the authenticated user.
Anonymous Guest
– the user has not been authenticated. The unknown guest may only acquire new ECGs
by manual entry of patient demographics. Their User Name will not be prepopulated into the Technician
field of new ECGs.
Known Guest
– the user has been authenticated on the network with their User Name and Password, but
the user has not been granted Technician or Administrator permissions. The user may only acquire new
ECGs by manual entry of patient demographics. Their User Name will be prepopulated into the Technician
field of new ECGs.
Technician
– the user has been authenticated on the network with their User Name and Password, and the
user has been granted Technician permissions. In addition to Guest permissions, this user may also view
orders and stored ECGs.
Administrator
– the user has been authenticated on the network with their User Name and Password, and
the user has been granted Administrator permissions. In addition to Technician permissions, this user may
also change the ELI 280’s settings.
Battery Indicator:
An icon indicating battery charge status displays in the upper right corner.
Clock:
The digital clock located in the lower right corner displays hour, minutes and seconds. The time appearing on the
ECG printout is the time the ECG was acquired.
Function Control Icons
Use the touchscreen Function Control icons to complete patient and/or ECG functions, as well as access the
Configuration menu.
Patient Information, Orders, or Modality Work List (MWL)
Press this icon to manually enter patient demographics or use either a work list directory or common
directory to find and download patient information.
ECG Acquisition
Press this icon to display the ECG in one of several formats: 12x1, 4x2, 6x2, and any three selected
leads (i.e. II-V1-V5). The on-screen ECG report displays patient name, date and time, Last or
Best 10 and the filter setting. Additional interpretive information is available by pressing the arrow
soft keys to the right of the display. Additional utilities from this screen include printing or sending
the ECG report, returning to the real-time display, advancing to the next patient, deleting the test
results, and returning to the previous screen.
Rhythm Printing
Press this icon to start or resume a rhythm print.
