CLEANING THE JUG KETTLE
1. Unplug the power plug from the power supply and let it cool down completely before
cleaning.
2. Detach the pot body from the power base and keep the power cord and power plug
away from water.
3. Avoid using sharp objects while cleaning, to prevent from damaging the exterior
finishing.
4. Use a damp cloth to wipe the exterior and power base. Do not use abrasive scouring
pads, detergents or cleansers as they will damage the exterior finishing.
DESCALING THE JUG KETTLE
1. In order to keep the jug kettle in good working condition, periodic descaling of the
kettle’s interior is required.
2. Descaling is required if the jug kettle shuts down automatically during boiling
frequently.
3. You can remove this build-up by using a commercial descaler or by using vinegar and
water in the following manner:
• Fill 0.5 litres water boil and add 30 mL (1 fluid oz.) of white vinegar.
• Boil the mixture and allow to stand for 1 hour. Discard mixture and fill Kettle to the
MAX level with fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard.
4. For heavy scale build-up, repeat this process.
5. Alternatively, add 0.5 litres of water, then add 25g of lemon juice and boil for 15
minutes. Discard mixture and fill Kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water
to a boil and discard.
6. For heavy scale build-up, repeat this process.
