11.1 Get in the wheelchair
1.
  Position the wheelchair as close as possible to you.
2.  Engage wheel locks. We suggest to remove the armrest to ease the patient getting in    
 

the wheelchair.

3.  Lean on the frame with arms and slowly go down towards the seat.

11.2 Get out of the wheelchair
1.
  Position the wheelchair as close as possible along side the seat to which you are 
 

transferring.

2.  Engage wheel locks. We suggest to remove the armrest to ease the patient getting out 
 

of the wheelchair.

3.  Shift body weight into seat with transfer.

11.3 Stairs and height difference

WARNING!
The following methods must be used only from experienced patients. If you are not 
experienced, let you help from an assistant!

GET ON
Position the wheelchair at the curb to be crossed. Balance the wheelchair on the rear whe-
els, in order to lift the front wheels, enough to lean them on the obstacle. Bend your trunk 
forward and vigorously push the handrail. Continue pushing until the rear wheels are climbing 
over the obstacle.

GET OFF
To get off the stair follow the reverse procedure, positioning the rear side of the wheelchair 
at the curb, keep the handrails vigorously and get off the obstacle slowly; then balance the 
wheelchair on the rear wheels in order to complete the descent.

WARNING!
We recommend to use this method only in presence of obstacle lower than 10cm!

11.4 Use the armrest
The armrest can be flip-up and detachable, flip-up, detachable and height adjustable, flip-up, de-
tachable, height adjustable and sliding.

Flip-up armrest: press the front release lever and turn it towards the back.
Detach the armrest: press the front release lever, the rear button and pull upwards.
Adjust the armrest in height: press the button on the outside of the armrest and raise or lower 
the armrest as needed. Release the button once the desired position is found.
Adjust the armrest in depth: press the button on the outside of the cover soft armrest and slide 
the armrest forward or back as needed. Release the button once the desired position is found.

11.5 Use the 60cm wheels
The rear 60cm wheels are used when self-propelled.
Grasp the handrail and wheel through the desired direction.
