3.9.
Shifting the Gripper Fingers in the Y Direction
(The Y direction is the axis perpendicular to the opening and closing movements)
For applications which demand exact concentricity between the axis of the gripped part and, for in-
stance, the axis of rotation of a rotary unit, it may be necessary for the two gripping fingers to be cor-
rected in the Y direction.
Procedure
–
Undo the finger mounting screws (SF)
–
The fingers can now be shifted in the Y direction (the X direction is retained).

∆
Y max. represents the screw play in the through hole found in the attached finger.
