SPEED GOVERNORS: RQ-A & RQ

Check the wear of the groove.
Check that there is no axial play on the pulley.
Check the condition of the bearings and the presence of noise!
Check the correct functioning of the contact that controls the excess speed at

each service visit and at least once a year.
Manually trigger the contact; if the board is in normal mode, the lift must not

move.

Note:

If during the tests, the rope slides even if the pulley of the governor is

stopped, check the correct tensioning by checking the tension device.

9.4 Repairs

The speed governor must never be disassembled and/or modified (seals, etc.).

This prohibition also applies during repairs. It is absolutely forbidden to replace

damaged or defective parts unless a written

notice has been passed by the staff

of Montanari Giulio & C. Srl.

IMPORTANT: It is absolutely forbidden to leave the system in operation

without the speed governor even for short periods.

After installation or after an initial period of work, it may be necessary to adjust

the rope tension.

Allowed operations:

• Moving the weights on the axis of the tension device

• Shortening the rope

10.  SPEED GOVERNOR CERTIFICATE

The governor is equipped with a type-examination certificate, which you can

download as an update on the website www.montanarigiulio.com
For each governor it is possible to request the declaration of conformity accor-

ding to the directive 2014/33/EU.
