POWER RATINGS

Unlike ordinary speaker systems, which require complicated impedance calculations for
multiple speaker arrays, constant voltage (70V) systems simply add the wattage ratings of
each speaker together. However, unlike ordinary systems that can use their full power
output, constant voltage systems can use only 80% of the rated wattage of the amplifier
and the connected speaker selector. This speaker selector is rated for 100 watts, so the
connected speaker arrays must be equal to or less than 80 watts each. If each speaker is
set to 5 watts, for example, you can connect up to 16 speakers in each array.

INSTALLATION

Perform the following steps to connect this speaker selector to your 70V audio system.

1.

Power off and unplug the amplifier.

2.

Strip about 1/4" of insulation from both ends of three 2-conductor speaker wires,
then twist the ends tightly so there are no stray wire strands.
